Preschool Ministry
|
|
|
The Longbranch Nursery is
a place where infants, toddlers and preschoolers can feel safe and secure
with our dedicated leadership. Our goal is to provide a safe and caring
environment for children to learn about God’s love through song, arts
& crafts, and age appropriate biblical teachings.
NURSERY
/ SUNDAY SCHOOL / EXTENDED SESSION:
Nursery & Sunday School - Longbranch
nursery provides child care for children ages birth through Pre-K during
the Sunday School session. Children are placed in rooms according to
their ability level up to the age of three, then
they are placed according to age.
Extended Session & Worship - Preschoolers birth through three years
continue learning in their Sunday School classes. Four and five year olds
and kindergartners are invited to attend Children's Church. Children will
attend worship with their parents, and leave after the children's sermon.
We provide a “Quiet Bag” with crayons, quiet activities and a children’s
bulletin for four year olds to work on during church.

ROOM
ARRANGEMENTS
Our Infant and Creeper’s room is arranged with age appropriate toys,
books, swings and ex-o-saucers. Our one-year room through
Pre-K rooms are arranged in centers. Because children learn
through play, we facilitate imaginary play through home living, blocks,
art, books and puzzle centers.
SECURITY
Check-in Procedures
When you enter the nursery, you will check in at the security desk. You
will be given a tag for your child to wear and one for you to wear.
Visitors will also be given a beeper. One parent will be allowed to enter
the secure area of the nursery. All other family may wait on you in the
waiting area. At your child’s room, a teacher will welcome your child at
the door. Please inform your child’s teacher of any allergies or special
needs your child may have.
Pick-up Procedures
When you return for your child, one parent may enter the secure area. You
must return the security tag and the beeper to the teacher before you
will be allowed to take your child from the nursery. Children will not be
released to siblings or friends.
VOLUNTEER
INFORMATION
Sunday School Teacher or Substitute
Are you interested in teaching preschoolers? We need church members to
help in our preschool area. Contact Paulette Cunningham
or call the church office at 972-723-6442.
Extended Session Volunteers
We have several openings for church members to volunteer in our nursery
during the Sunday Worship Service. This is an eight week rotation where
each volunteer will receive a schedule of their work days for the year, a
post card two weeks prior and a phone call the week they are serving. For

Children's
Ministry
|
|
|
The Children's Ministry at Longbranch
provides an atmosphere in which a child can make a responsible decision
for Christ and grow in knowledge and understanding of the responsibility
of that decision. Children are nurtured through the use of Bible
teachings, singing, dramatic arts, and the promotion of Christianity in
their lives.
KID
ZONE:
Where children, Kindergarten through 6th grade, learn God's word through
Bible stories, music, crafts and snack with a Bible lesson emphasized in
each of these activities. Kid Zone takes the place on Sunday mornings
from 9:00 - 10:15 am. We have a terrific staff of teachers and leaders,
and new help is always appreciated.
KID'z BLAST
Where children, Pre-K through 6th grade, grow spiritually through song,
dramatic arts and puppetry. An exciting program that allows children to
participate in all kinds of exciting musical activities while at the same
time having tons of fun. Come and give Kid'z
Blast a try! KID'z BLAST meets Sunday evenings
from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Come and enjoy the fun!
AWANA
Where children, ages 3 years through 6th grade, learn God's word and
about missions. There is a Bible lesson, mission study, game time, and
scripture memory time each week. The kids also earn AWANA bucks each week
to use at the AWANA store. AWANA meets each Wednesday evening from 6:30 -
8:00 pm. It's a great opportunity for you and your kids to get involved.
UPWARD
Where children, Kindergarten through 6th grade, learn God’s word through
a nationally recognized sports program. The purpose of
Upward is to recognize the winner in every child by offering a
non-competitive, non-threatening environment where every participant gets
equal playing time.

Student Ministry
|
|
|
"Where
students can begin to connect together to experience authentic worship and
relevant bible study, share in common life experiences, and reach out to
their community as a group"

|
Wednesday Night Small Groups
Wednesday Night Small Groups provides teenagers with an exciting
opportunity join other students in their grade to discuss current life
issues and to determine what the Bible has to say. Wednesday Night Small
Groups also gives students a chance just to relax and hang out while
sharing dinner together each week.
|
|
Sunday Morning Journey
Sunday Morning Journey - Beginning at 9:00 am, 7th - 12th graders
assemble together to worship and celebrate God’s work in their lives
through music led by their peers in the youth praise team. The students
move from the group worship time into their graded Sunday School class
which is led by adult members our youth ministry team. All students are
then invited to join the rest of Longbranch for
our exciting 10:30 am worship service.
Youth Worship Band
The youth at Longbranch can get plugged into a
variety of worship ministries. We have a youth worship band that leads
worship periodically during the Sunday morning worship services. They
also lead the Longbranch student ministry in
worship on a weekly basis. The youth are also encouraged to participate
in any and all of the various LCBC Worship Ministries.

Worship Ministry
|
|
|
The worship ministry at Longbranch
is a place where everyone can find a home. More than just music, LCBC’s worship ministry offers several opportunities
for individuals to serve in a number of exciting areas. Some of these
areas include:
DRAMATIC
ARTS
The LCBC Worship Ministry now offers an exciting Drama Ministry for
individuals of all ages to get involved in. Members of this ministry
participate periodically in our worship services to help better
illustrate Biblical truths and themes. Select members will also
participate in various seasonal productions.
LCBC
WORSHIP BAND
The LCBC Worship Band leads worship in the Sunday morning service as well
as other events. Utilizing a full band and a team of vocalists, you will
hear the worship band use songs from all different genres and time
periods to lead Longbranch in worship. The LCBC
Worship Band is an exciting and rewarding experience for all who
participate.
